Who controls your information

Information we collect
We collect the information entered into the quote form: name, phone number, optional email address, postcode, property ownership, project interest, roof type and preferred timing. We also record your privacy acknowledgement, sharing preference and the form wording version, along with the submission source, date and status, and limited technical information needed to operate, protect and diagnose the website.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use the information to respond to the service you requested, assess whether a suitable installer may be available, contact you about the request, prevent misuse or duplicate requests, keep an audit trail and administer the service. We rely on legitimate interests in operating and securing this requested introduction service. We balance those interests against your rights and limit our use to what you would reasonably expect from the request.
We do not use a quote request as permission to send unrelated electronic marketing.
Sharing
Our service providers process information for us where needed to host the website, receive forms, store lead records and send operational messages. At launch these include Netlify (form submissions), Airtable (lead records and automation) and Google email services (operational notifications and correspondence). Their processing and storage may involve countries outside the UK; where required, we rely on appropriate contractual or other legal safeguards.
Installer sharing is not currently active. The optional checkbox records whether you are happy for your enquiry and contact details to be shared with one solar installer for a call about a quote. You may leave it unticked and still submit an enquiry to us. We will not treat this preference as blanket consent for an unnamed company to market to you. Before any sharing begins, we must establish the appropriate lawful basis, provide the required information and obtain any specific permission required. This may require us to contact you again. You may change your preference or ask us to close your enquiry by contacting us. Any installer receiving information would act as a separate controller under its own privacy notice.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a business reorganisation subject to appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Unmatched or inactive quote requests are normally deleted or anonymised within 12 months. Records of agreed introductions and associated business correspondence may be retained for up to 6 years where reasonably required for accounting, legal claims or regulatory records. We may keep a minimal suppression record where necessary to respect an objection or prevent repeated contact.
Security
We restrict access to the systems used to receive and store requests and use access controls appropriate to a small business. No online service can guarantee absolute security; if we identify a personal data breach, we will assess and report it where the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal information, or object to our use of it. You may also ask for certain information in a portable format. The right to object to processing based on legitimate interests is specifically available to you.

Cookies and measurement
The launch website does not intentionally set non-essential analytics or advertising cookies. If we add advertising measurement, we will update this notice and provide appropriate cookie choices before non-essential storage is used.
